What Dr Mandy Goldman Strous shared:

I met Tanya in 2016 whilst facilitating a woman’s cancer support group.

She has been through the breast cancer journey herself 8 years ago. 

Using her personal experience as well as her love and passion for dance, she has developed an inspiring programme involving mind, movement and dance.

After experiencing a taster of her class, which included relaxation, breathing, elements of Tai Chi and Chi Qong, I was so impressed that I asked her to give another class to a second group recently.

Feedback has been fantastic. I personally felt enormous benefit after the hour of breathing, moving and learning the basic moves of the Salsa.

Everyone, young and old left feeling uplifted, happy and ready to face the day.

I highly recommend her classes for everyone. 

She tailors her sessions to suit individual needs.

What Fran shared:

A matter of just a few months ago I joined Tanya’s class of Mind, Movement and Dance.  I admit that I was apprehensive at first, because of my age (80yrs), would I be accepted?.  However, from that first time I entered her class, I was impressed by Tanya’s friendliness, acceptance and positive attitude.  This she has been able to instil in all her class members – you are accepted immediately (warts and all) as an important part of her group.   There is a lovely camaraderie constantly developing throughout all the class.

 

Tanya is extremely talented but most of all – patient.  There is never a cross word or criticism only encouragement to do your best.   This class is not only for exercise, balance or motivation – every lesson is one of learning to improve our lifestyle.  I look forward to attending her weekly class but sadly the time goes by so quickly that it is time to leave for another week.

 

Can I recommend Tanya to you?  WHOLEHEARTEDLY!  Give her a go – you won’t be disappointed.

What Carol shared:

I searched for years to find a dance class that I would really enjoy. 

On attending The Coast Centre for Seniors where Tanya teachers, she gave a demonstration of her class & I knew this was what I had been looking for.

 

 The class is not only about dance but pays attention to Mind, Body & Spirit.

Tanya is a very special person with a warm spirit & is a gifted teacher. She is so enthusiastic and encouraging, with wonderful teaching skills. She spreads her warmth  throughout her class so much so that a real sense of community has formed eg many of us meet after class for a cuppa!

What Hanna shared:

The MMD course has had a hugely positive impact on my physical and emotional wellbeing throughout my chemotherapy treatment. I’ve gained skills which I can use day-to-day to maintain a positive outlook, as well as when I am faced with situations which bring increased stress and anxiety, either in relation to my diagnosis or the world beyond. Not only that, I’ve had great fun along the way, especially during our sessions tackling salsa moves (and I’m not a natural nor confident dancer). I feel so much calmer and more empowered as a result of our sessions and as a result of Tanya’s understanding, patience and compassion. I couldn’t recommend the MMD course highly enough.
